What the HELL is in my coffee????

Grabbed my usual early morning cup of joe and stepped out on the porch to see if the new bird feeder had drawn any attention yet. I noticed that the dogs were alerted to something in the west side yard of the house, and it got my curiosity up for sure. I just had to go look............and then I looked twice. What had their attention was a ringneck pheasant. Now there's something you don't see every day in Santa Anna. Pheasants. Weird. I have seen one or two around before, but never that close to houses, they have always been WAY out in the county. I went in to get the camera, and he was gone when I came out. So then I just had to wonder if Folgers has been adding something special to their coffee blend, because that was a pretty weird thing to see first thing in the morning.

At least it wasn't a rattlesnake, for a change.
