It has begun

The fishing is starting to turn around since the tides are rising. We headed over to Conn Brown harbor tonite and got into a ton of undersized speckled trout. Where there are little ones, bigger ones will soon follow. The fishing is really supposed to pick up after the 19th, just about the time that we get over to Goose Island State Park. That is where we got into the specks last year, that pier is just fantastic for specks and sand trout.

And to top it off, when we came back across the ferry, the big redfish were just swarming around the pilings. Made me want to jump off and grab one. I have never seen that many reds in one place before, it was a sight to behold.

Maybe we can catch one.
